Do I need a membership to use the library?

No. Day passes are AED 45 for the open silent floor and AED 70 including all-day hot desk access with a power socket and monitor arm. Members get cheaper rates, advance room booking rights and locker access. You can walk in and buy a day pass at reception any time we are open.

What do memberships cost?

Quiet Pass is AED 320 a month and covers unlimited silent floor access. Focus Pass is AED 550 and adds a reserved hot desk plus four hours of study room time each week. Scholar Pass is AED 890 and includes a dedicated desk, a locker and twelve hours of room time weekly. Students with a valid ID get 25 percent off all tiers.

How do I book a study room?

Members book through this assistant or the member portal up to fourteen days ahead; day pass holders can book same-day only, subject to availability. Rooms are booked in one-hour blocks with a two-hour maximum per booking and a four-hour daily cap so everyone gets a turn. Tell me the date and how many people and I will show you what is free.

What rooms are available and what do they cost?

We have six two-person pods, three six-person group rooms and one twelve-seat seminar room. Non-members pay AED 60 per hour for a pod, AED 140 for a group room and AED 320 for the seminar room. Member hours draw from your weekly allowance first, then bill at 50 percent of these rates.

What are your opening hours?

We open 7:00am to 11:00pm Saturday to Thursday and 10:00am to 11:00pm on Friday. During university exam periods in December and May we run 24 hours from Sunday to Thursday. Members with a Scholar Pass get door access from 6:00am year round.

How quiet is it really?

The main floor is enforced silence, meaning no phone calls, no video calls and no conversation, with staff walking the floor hourly. Calls and discussion happen in the pods and group rooms, which are acoustically treated. Repeated breaches cost you a warning, then a day suspension.

Is there parking and how do I get there?

We are on the second floor of Addax Tower, Al Reem Island, with two hours of free basement parking validated at reception and AED 8 per hour after that. Members on Focus and Scholar tiers get a discounted monthly parking card for AED 250. The C1 and C2 bus stops are a four-minute walk away.

What is the cancellation and no-show policy?

Cancel a room booking at least two hours ahead and the hours go straight back to your allowance. Cancel later and the hours are lost. If you are more than fifteen minutes late without telling us, the room is released to the waitlist and counted as used, and three no-shows in a month suspend advance booking for two weeks.

Can I bring food, and are there other facilities?

No food on the silent floor, but there is a small cafe area with free filter coffee, a microwave and a water station where eating is fine. We also have printing at 30 fils per black-and-white page, day lockers at AED 10, and a lending collection of about 4,000 reference and exam-prep titles for members only.
