What does a session cost?

The initial assessment is AED 450 for 60 minutes and includes a full movement screen, a diagnosis from your physiotherapist and a written plan. Follow-up treatment sessions are AED 350 for 45 minutes, always one-to-one with the same therapist. Dry needling added to a session is AED 100 extra and a home visit anywhere in Abu Dhabi city is AED 600.

Do you sell session packages?

Yes, and most patients use them because courses of treatment are rarely one visit. Six follow-up sessions are AED 1,950 and ten are AED 3,100, both valid for four months from purchase. A ten-session clinical Pilates block is AED 2,600. Unused sessions are transferable to a family member but not refundable after the first session is taken.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

Not to pay privately — you can book straight in. For insurance you usually do: most UAE insurers require a referral letter from a physician and will approve six to ten sessions at a time before requiring a progress report. If you already have imaging or an operation note, upload it when you book so the therapist has it in front of them.

Which insurers do you direct bill?

We direct bill Daman Enhanced and Premier, AXA, Bupa Global, and Nextcare and Neuron networks. Bring your card, Emirates ID and the referral letter, and reception submits the approval — it usually comes back the same day but allow 48 hours for Bupa Global. Any co-payment, typically 10 to 20 percent, is settled at each visit.

Can I pick my physiotherapist?

Yes, and we recommend you stay with the same one for a course of treatment. Amira Saleh specialises in spinal pain, post-surgical knee and shoulder rehab and clinical Pilates. Daniel Okoro handles sports injuries, running mechanics and return-to-play testing. Choose either when you book and I will show only that therapist's open slots.

How many sessions will I need?

A typical soft-tissue or lower back case runs six to eight sessions over four to six weeks, starting twice weekly and tapering to weekly. Post-surgical ACL or rotator cuff programmes run three to six months with a session every one to two weeks alongside home exercises. Your therapist reassesses at session four and tells you where you stand — I cannot give clinical advice or predict your recovery.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear or bring loose sportswear — shorts for a knee, hip or back problem, and a vest or tank top for a shoulder or neck problem. Bring any scans, reports or operation notes, your insurance card and Emirates ID. Arrive ten minutes early for a first visit so the paperwork does not eat into your treatment time.

What are your hours and where are you?

Sunday to Thursday 8:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm, closed Friday. We are in Shams Boutik on Al Reem Island, second floor, with two hours of free mall parking validated at reception. The 7:00am to 9:00am and after-6:00pm slots go first, so book those a week ahead.

What is your cancellation policy?

Give us 12 hours and there is no charge. Cancel later than that or miss the appointment and the session is deducted from your package or billed at the full AED 350, because the slot is held one-to-one for you. Insurers will not pay for a missed visit, so this one is always on the patient.
